Terms of the Society

The foundational rules and code of conduct governing membership, discourse, and contributions within the Historiqa archives.

I. Introduction

By registering for Society Credentials with Historiqa, you agree to abide by these Terms of the Society. Historiqa is a dedicated archival space designed for the rigorous, respectful exploration of all human history. Membership is a privilege, not a right, and is contingent upon adherence to our scholarly standards.

II. The Code of Scholarly Conduct

Historiqa thrives on rigorous debate, differing historical interpretations, and peer review. However, all discourse must remain fundamentally respectful.

III. Archival Contributions & Accuracy

When drafting articles or reviews for the Historiqa archives—whether discussing the architecture of Ancient Egypt or the geopolitical shifts of the Modern Era—members are expected to strive for historical accuracy. Plagiarism, the deliberate fabrication of historical sources, or presenting historical fiction as academic fact is prohibited. Always endeavor to provide references for your claims.

IV. Account Management & Termination

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Society Credentials. The Editorial Board reserves the right to moderate comments, reject article submissions, or terminate the accounts of any member found to be violating this Code of Conduct, in order to preserve the integrity of the archives.
